Voluntaries in Guinea Bissau
Every year we bring in volunteers to support the capacity building of schools and train teachers in Guinea-Bissau.
This mission also has a profound impact on the lives of the volunteers, almost therapeutic. Uprooting allows us to appreciate our roots, as well as nourishing energy for collaboration in transforming the world.
Although the video is narrated in Portuguese it is worth viewing it to get an idea of a volunteer’s experience.
Protocol connecting fire departments from both countries
In a partnership with the Humanitarian Association of Colares Firefighters, ÚNICA collaborates in the training of the Firefighters from Bissau, in Guinea-Bissau. 2022 will be the year to promote a similar partnership with the Firefighters from Trindade in Sao Tome and Principe.
